How to Download Aadhar Card?

Issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), Aadhar is 12-digit unique identification number for every Indian from the Government of India. One can avail Aadhar card easily as it serves as both residential proofs and identification. Once your Aadhar is ready, you can download it online. Here are few of the steps to download e-Aadhar –

  • Visit the official eAadhar website.
  • Choose Aadhar or Enrollment ID
  • Enter your Enrollment ID or Aadhar number along with other details like Name, mobile number, your area PIN code etc.
  • Click on “Get OTP”
  • It will show up password on your device via text
  • Input OTP and click “Validate and Download”
  • Download eAadhar on your phone.

To open eAadhar, enter the password as it is locked. It will be your PIN code.

Download Aadhar Card by Aadhar number

  • Visit the official Aadhar website,
  • Enter “Aadhar Enrolment” section under Aadhar online services
  • Click “Download Aadhar”
  • It will redirect you to this link –
  • According to whether you have UID or EID, choose the option
  • Enter your Aadhar number or enrolment number
  • Enter your details like full name, PIN code, mobile no, and captcha code
  • Click on “Get OTP”
  • It will send you the OTP on your mobile phone
  • Enter the OTP to proceed and click Download.
  • You will download the Aadhar in PDF format
  • Enter PIN code to open Aadhar card

To print your Aadhar card, open the PDF file using Acrobat Reader. Once the file is open, you can print the PDF file using CTRL+P or by clicking “Print” option on “File” menu. If you don’t have printer, copy the file downloaded on Pen Drive and get the file printed at the nearest cyber café.
